Octave Investment Management LLP wanted a smart, functional working environment for their new office located on Ironmonger Lane in The City, London. Key to the project was creating a spacious, comfortable environment where staff could feel at home and visitors were welcomed by a sophisticated office.
The Octave workspace possesses strong existing structural elements and so we designed this into our final fit-out. We installed new flooring, feature wall panelling, lighting desking and artwork to complement the existing design work, as well as give the office design a contemporary space.
Our client knew their people were hard workers, so they wanted to create designated spaces to encourage staff to take time away from their desks and enjoy the break-out area on the lower floor. These breakout areas were an essential part of the design, as they added something completely new to the Octave workspace.
With soft seating and café style tables and chairs, staff can relax away from the desk and socialise together. This area doubles as an area that can be used for informal meetings areas and hot desking, as alternatives to sitting at the desk.
To create the striking office design Octave were after, furniture was a key consideration throughout the workspace. To ensure we selected the best pieces of office furniture to compliment the design, we took our client on several furniture tours across London. The furniture in this space modernises the space and adds an extra element of style to bring the design together.
