Moving from Covent Garden to the hub of creative agencies in Farringdon, Ragged Edge wanted a space where every inch was usable by both their employees and clients to encourage a close-knit team personifying collaboration.
After Ragged Edge saw the quality of the office fit-out we did for KAYAK, who are located in the same building, they felt that we could be the perfect partners to help them bring their vision to life. With an ever-growing team, they needed the capacity to expand easily in the event of new arrivals at the company. As a result of this, we designed the floor plans to allow for easy expansion as the company takes on new clients.
The exposed brickwork and natural oak flooring set the perfect foundations for us to design a stylish office perfect for a young creative company. Glass meeting room dividers and open plan desks create a space that allows for easy communication between everybody in the team. The office interior has been created to promote Ragged Edge’s modern, dynamic and progressive business. This allows them to open up the office space so that the staff feel more connected.
Collaborating with architectural practice Michaelis Boyd, we designed a kitchen-bar space, which is perfect for their events where they can showcase their leading food and drink clients and entertain in style. A bespoke patented zinc counter-top bar with Bert & May tiles and leather banquette seating create a very stylish space to enjoy.
Using light was an important part of the office design as they wanted to brighten their entire workspace. Maximising the natural light, glass walls were used for meeting rooms and our furniture team used pieces of furniture made from light wood, to keep in style with the office. The clean design is uncomplicated and makes a welcoming space and positive work environment.
